OMG,...Four adults and six kids for two artichokes? OMG, my family had one a piece growing up. Did you trim the spiky leaves and dip them in lemon juice before cooking to keep their color? My mom used make a crab stuffing for the center (yum!), but that's fancy. My dad used to dip his leaves in mayo.
