An apology....

I have to apologize to my friends. I have been rather lazy about keeping in touch: in person, with "real" mail, by telephone, and via e-mail. It seems that having a newborn again has magnified my weaknesses. I already struggle with balancing all of my obligations and my friends. My family, fortunately, stays at the top for the most part. It's the ever growing to-do list that seems to drain the energy I once had for relationships. And precious baby Cael gets first dibs on all the energy I do have.

If I have not called, written, e-mailed, or made a coffee (in my case, Diet Coke or iced tea) date with you in some time, please know that I still like you. I still want to talk to you, hear from you, or be with you. Give me a bit of grace here and I will get my act together soon.

Here, have a Coke while you're waiting...

Lady, you have nothing to apologize for. True friends are secure enough to empathize with your life and confident to know you'll be back around. Reach out when you feel the need to reenter the universe. We'll be here. In the meantime, enjoy baby time. Soon, he'll be chasing the big boys around and you'll only get occassional glimpses when he asks for the keys to the car. The next one's still a while away. (Ooops, don't let Jason read that part.) (Also, don't feel the need to post this comment. It's quicker to comment than to email. :-)) There are always things that need doing, but rarely things to need to be done.

I'm right there with you! I don't even like to leave the house anymore. It's just takes too much energy.

Ok so now that I read this weeks later. You finally have a valid excuse! I was beginning to really feel sad with all you failures to return my calls or respond to my emails. Like come on I have soo much time on my hands staying at home, why dont you.. Guess I need another baby to get busy with.
