Good bye faithful friend...

Actually, I had a love/hate relationship with this thing. I loved that it worked. I hated that I needed to use it.

15 years ago, my cousin, Colleen (Young Adventures), gave us an iron for a wedding gift. (Thanks Colleen!!!!) It was well used over the years. Unfortunately, as will all small appliances, the life span is never as long as we hope for. It's thermostat has gone awry. It seemingly heats to the temperature of molten lava and refuses to turn off without being unplugged.

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye... may you be recycled as something FUN, like an iPod or a pencil sharpener!

Good god, I gave you an iron for a wedding gift? I truly hope it was something you registered for, otherwise I'm really embarrassed! (By the way, I never iron. I just spray that wrinkle releaser stuff on and call it good.)

It's so hard to find a good iron!

I'm sure we registered for it. It's not something you would have gone and picked out!

Does the spray stuff work? Well enough for Jason's business casual clothes? Please, please say yes!

No way, I think we have that exact same iron (or did, it died recently). When did you all get married? Our anniversary is May 1992.

Funny!

Kathy,
Yup! I'll bet we had twins! We wed in November 1992. In fact, our anniversay is tomorrow! So... 15 years ago, that iron was "the" one to have. I still think 15 years is pretty good lifespan for an iron.
