Happy Birthday Jason!

Jason turned 38 yesterday. Since his birthday falls at the tail end of our insanely busy two weeks in April (Easter, Missoula Children's Theater, t-ball practice, t-ball games, baseball opening day, gymnastic meet, Rhys' birthday, Brennen's birthday, and all the usual karate, gymanstics, guitar...), Jason often has little fanfare.

Yesterday, we had Brennen's first ball game and Rhys' karate so doing anything elaborate was out of the question, but I did have one small bit of inspiration. Thanks to Cynde's emergency delivery of brown food coloring and the use of her awesome "grass/hair" tip, I made Jason's cake.

If you're not a Facebook user (and who on earth isn't?!) and if you don't play Farm Town (and if you're on FB, why wouldn't you?!), this won't be as nifty... It's still very cute and would be a great kids cake!

It's a replica of Jason's "Tasty Pets Farm" on Facebook. Complete with the farmer sowing potato crops... How darling is that?!

The birthday boy with his cake. He was truly impressed at his wife's oh-so-rare bit of creative inspiration!

I'm not on Facebook. I don't want the distraction. Blogging takes up enough of my time. So I have no clue why you made Jason a kiddie farm cake... But it is really cute!
